Learning Styles

I was introduced to new learning styles in the orientation course to Critical Thinking Skills
Learning styles are different methods by which students absorb and retain knowledge.
1)      Reading and Writing  Learners who  prefer to read material and take notes. Ideal assignments for Reading and Writing learners  include reading assignments, extensive note taking, essays, and  discussion forums.

2)      Visual  Visual learners prefer to see how an activity is done before attempting it themselves.  They also prefer graphics over text in lessons. Videos and infographics are great ways to  engage visual learners.

3)      Listening  Listening learners learn best by listening. They prefer lectures and podcasts. They prefer to hear the information, instead of reading it or seeing it displayed by a graph.

4)      Interacting  Some learners learn best by collaborating and discussing with others.

2)      Hands-On Hands-On learners learn by doing. Project-based assignments  are best for these learners.
